BTW - if anyone can give me any tips for posting pics quickly I would be eternally grateful, as the few pics that I have here have taken an ETERNITY to download . . . . . . . or can anyone recommend an alternative site for posting pics quickly ?????
Use Picasa to post pics quickly. Download Picasa from here: http://picasa.google.com/
The reason why it has taken "eternity" for your pics to be posted is probably that the file size of your photo is too large for the web. The solution would be to reduce the file size first before posting it online. This can automatically be done if you post directly from Picasa to your blog.
I suggest you display your email on the blog so people can easily reach you.
I'd agree with Ashraf that smaller photos will upload easier. Try to set your camera to take something that is about 500 kb or so. Have you looked into Flickr? You can use that. With Blogger, it is possible to embed the pics in the blog itself which is nice. I usually take pretty large images (I have DSL at the farm so the upload time isn't that much of an issue) but you can go through the process of just shrinking the images to the right size. I use a Mac so can't help too much with Windows, but Picasa should be compatible. For years it wasn't compatible with Macs.
Picasa is very useful for managing photos and works well with the blog...usually! Windows Live Writer is easier to use with Piacasa than blogger a,d is more flexible in layout too.
Picasa works with Windows. Actually, it was first made for Windows then ported to other systems.
The new release of Picasa is there, it's amazing, I strongly recommend you try it out if you have not yet done so. Uploading from there to your blog is so easy.

Thanx. Am gonna give Picasa a go.
Not sure about displaying my email address though - that could open up a whole can of worms. . . . .
It doesn't seem to be supported by windows ???
